Women’s Retreats

Retreat, Reflect, Relax

Women’s Only Retreats (held with our associates) provide a space for us to reconnect with ourselves, in the company of other great women. The small group retreats are held at locations within 45 minutes of the CBD that allow you to rest (inwardly) and connect with nature and others (outwardly). Along with some time to yourself and good  company, you will experience learning based on the disciplines of ontological coaching, mindfulness and various body awareness and movement forms. All activities are an ‘invitation’ and your participation is entirely your own choice.

What will you gain?

All of us experience life’s mix of happy, painful and neutral experiences. Together we will:

  • Slow down and give ourselves the time and space to get in touch with what is bringing us joy, sorrow and the in-between
  • Explore the habitual ways we respond to the wanted and unwanted parts of life
  • Spend time simply being in nature
  • Appreciate that it is the entirety of our experience that makes us whole
  • Look at the beauty and wisdom in everything
  • Create quiet space for yourself away from your everyday concerns
  • Enjoy stories and laughter with other women

This retreat is facilitated by Anne Courtney (coach, retreat facilitator and leadership consultant) and Kathryn Choules (educator, researcher, Mindfulness facilitator and practitioner).

What women who’ve been on our retreats are saying:

I arrived feeling frazzled, with a tired mind and tired body – with heartfelt nurturing, my soul was honoured and my body rested; all among like-minded womenfolk, nestled in peaceful surroundings. I left reenergised, armed with sustainable tools. Indulgence – Absolutely Not!!
Rejuvenated, Refreshed and Rebalanced- Absolutely YES!! So when is the next retreat? Josique Lynch

These wonderful women will create a safe and nurturing and fun space to think, play and reflect in a beautiful relaxing environment with wonderful food and company. Tara Hoyne

Nicky, Anne and Kathryn provided the perfect space for us all to reflect on our everyday challenges and to find our own solutions to overcome these. Most importantly, the retreat was a reminder that we all have the wisdom inside us to find the answers to our questions, but all too often the busyness of life and its demands blind us to that basic truth. Karin MacArthur

I found the opportunity to have time away from home – my family and work environment was really useful in accessing my own inner wisdom. The sessions facilitated discussion among the women participants and provided tools to consider issues of concern. The retreat environment provided was respectful of a range of learning styles, experiences and backgrounds.  F Britton

  1. Are you organising any retreats in 2016? I am a teacher and school holidays would best suit me. Also I live in the country and school breaks give me time to travel. When I first saw this retreat being mentioned I didn’t see 2015. Can book for two people. Thank you. leanne

  3. Hi Kathryn
I can’t make the dates for the April WomensRetreat but would love to do it.
Will there be another one this year?
    Thanks

    • Hi Ann Marie
What a pity about the dates 🙁
The April date is the only women’s retreat we have planned this year.
I have a mindfulness weekend retreat on the last weekend in September and a series of one-day retreats starting in February.
It would be great to have come along and be a very funky part of one of the retreats 🙂
Hope all is good with you.

  4. Hi Just wondering if there a still free spots for the Women’s retreats looks amazing 🙂 and if there is a program/timetable you might be able to supply, Is Yoga or other similar activities also included along with the mindful based practices.

    • Hi Charmaine
Yes, there are still places for the next Women’s Retreat. And yes, they are a great weekend. Gentle yoga is offered in the mornings – as much as anything, as a mindfulness practice to wake up in and through the body. There are reflective processes, mindfulness based practices, periods of silence, laughter and connection.
We’d love to have you join us.
      Kathryn
